Lubbock Police investigate infant injury - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK TX, (KCBD) - Lubbock Police are investigating injuries to an infant after doctors at University Medical Center called them Tuesday.  Juvenile investigators tell NewsChannel 11 this is routine action. They say anytime a child, who cannot speak for themselves, is brought in with questionable injuries, they work with the medical community to determine what happened.

Right now, all we know is that a family member called EMS Tuesday afternoon.  An EMS team took the child to the UMC Emergency Room, and doctor's later notified police, which is required by law.

Investigators have not released the child's current condition. We'll continue to follow this story, and bring you the latest as it develops.
