City proposes change to nuisance weed ordinance - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The Lubbock City Council might crack down on that front lawn you haven't gotten around to mowing. That includes the alley behind your house too.

The council is considering changing the Nuisance Weed Ordiance from 12 inches to 8 inches. If you fail to mow, the city will do it for you. If you fail to pay the city for mowing your weeds, it would be a proposed misdemeanor. The council votes Thursday.
