What started as an accident on slick Lubbock streets during a busy lunch hour Friday, ended with a police car on fire. A police car suddenly burst into flames after pulling over to help a woman who had wrecked. It happened at the South Loop 289 and Avenue P.
At this point, police are saying the car's engine caught on fire, but they do not know what caused it. They do say it was unrelated to the accident and everyone walked away unharmed.
