Jury convicts Mussaco on two counts of murder

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The suspect charged with a 2006 death in Lubbock now faces two life sentences. A New Mexico jury convicted Beau Mussaco Friday on two counts of first degree murder. Mussaco shot and killed two Albuquerque women along Interstate-40 on New Year's Day 2007.

Authorities also charged Mussaco with the October 2006 death of Antonio Aguilar. Aguilar's body was found at 33rd and Avenue X. Autopsy reports showed he had been shot in the head. Investigators believe he was shot somewhere else, and then dumped there.

At last check, there was no trial date set for the Lubbock case. Mussaco will be sentenced for the New Mexico deaths at a later date.
