Feast or Famine Banquet Held at University Center - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A gourmet meal, a bowl of soup, or just beans and rice, that was the choice of food Sunday evening at the South Plains Food Bank's 2002 Hunger Banquet. The only catch, banquet goers weren't able to choose what they wanted to eat. Instead, a random selection decided who got served which meal.

The point of the dinner was to make you think about what it would be like not to have enough to eat. The Feast or Famine event was held at the University Center Ballroom and kicked off Texas Tech's annual canned food collection campaign.
