Fishy diet may help you score higher on intelligence tests

If your teenager wants to get into Harvard, Yale, or any other university have them eat fish for dinner.

A study of nearly 4,000 15-year old boys found those who ate fish at least once a week did better on intelligence tests at age 18. They say the kids who ate fish more than that had even higher scores, regardless of their parents' education level.

Researchers think the omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids found in fish could be the key. This study was led by researchers at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and is published in ACTA Paediatrica, March 2009.
