Texas Tech tests siren warning system

Posted:

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - When severe weather strikes here in Lubbock, Texas Tech students now know that there is no gap in communication on campus.

Students on their way to and from class heard a siren for a full minute Tuesday morning. The sirens are located on the roofs of four buildings across campus. University police checked each one to be sure they were working properly.

The school also sent out a text message and email, alerting students and faculty of the emergency test.
