SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO AND MOST OF CULBERSON COUNTY...

The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has issued a Fire
Weather Watch, which is in effect from Saturday afternoon through
Saturday evening.

* HUMIDITY...This afternoon...6 to 15%. Saturday...5 to 12%.

* WIND...This afternoon...West 15 to 25 mph, except 25 to 35 mph
Guadalupe Mountains. Saturday...Above 5000 feet, southwest to
west 20 to 25 mph increasing to 25 to 35 mph in the afternoon.
Gusts up to 55 mph in the afternoon. Below 5000 feet, southwest
winds 20 to 25 mph.

* FIRE DANGER...Very high to extreme.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stow trailer chains properly. Hold off on yard work or welding
near dry vegetation.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
