LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock High School Performing Arts Department will open its 2018-2019 season with Mamma Mia, which will run from Oct. 18 to Oct. 22.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18-20 and 2:30 p.m. Oct. 20-21, according to a Lubbock ISD news release. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $7 for students; all of which can be purchased at the door or online.

The musical was inspired by the works of the 1970s pop group ABBA and was written by Catherine Johnson. The story surrounds a young woman named Sophie who wants to learn her father’s identity before her wedding.

It's Friday! You know what that means--only 13 days until we open Mamma Mia! We are jumping up and down, dancing-in-the-aisles excited to share our show with you! Have you got your ticket yet?
