LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - When people think of the best bowlers in the world, Walter Ray Williams Jr. often comes to mind.
Over his career, Williams has won 108 PBA Titles and has been named the PBA Player of the Year seven different times.
Monday night, Williams was here in the Hub-City giving a clinic to some eager bowlers that were trying to improve their game.
“Just to give some of the knowledge that I have,” Walter Ray Williams Jr said. “Hopefully this will help their game just a little bit.”
Starting on Wednesday out at South Plains Lanes, the PBA’s best will be here in Lubbock, for the PBA Lubbock Sports Open.
Williams told us, that if he wants to contend and win his 109th PBA Title – he would have to bring his “A”-game.
“The top bowlers in the world are here this week,” Williams said. “So, if you are not familiar with or if you like watching the bowlers on TV, and if you haven’t seen them bowl live. You have to come out and watch because these guys are the best bowlers in the world and they kick my butt on a regular basis.”
