After a more than two-week investigation by the Seminole Police Department and the Andrews office of the Texas Rangers, an arrest has been made of Vidal Zuniga Mares, 53, for the solicitation of prostitution of a minor in Seminole.

According to a press release provided by the SPD, the investigation began on January 15, after Mares, of Seminole, had allegedly solicited oral sex from a 17-year-old male, in exchange for money.

After Mares was questioned and an investigation was initiated by Seminole Police, agents from the Texas Rangers were called in to assist.

Upon the completion of the investigation on Wednesday, January 30, Mares was brought in for questioning by investigators from both the SPD and the Rangers, a warrant was obtained, and the subject was placed under arrest.
