AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - The Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine held a reception on Monday afternoon where they received their biggest contribution yet.

On February 4, the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine held a reception at the Amarillo Club honoring Jerry and Margaret Hodge for their recent contribution.

The school said the Hodges gifted $10 million, making it the biggest contribution they’ve received.

This comes after Former Amarillo Mayor Jerry Hodge withdrew a previous $10 million donation to Texas Tech in September, following the departure of Chancellor Robert Duncan.

Construction of the school could begin this year, with students starting the program by 2021.

We’re LIVE from a reception honoring Jerry and Margaret Hodge for their gracious contribution to the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine. The gift being announced is one of the most impactful commitments we’ve received yet.
