Lubbock Community Theatre prepares for spring season
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock Community Theatre is preparing for its spring season.
“The Diary of Anne Frank” will debut Feb. 22. The show runs through the 24th and then March 1-3, 8-10.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

“The Miss Firecracker Contest” is set in a small Mississippi town of Brookhaven just a few days before the Fourth of July.
Carnelle Scott is rehearsing furiously for the Miss Firecracker Contest, hoping that a victory will salvage her tarnshised reputation and allow her to leave town in a blaze of glory.
This show runs March 29-31, April 5-7, 12-14.
It is also taking place at 4320 Boston Ave. with shows starting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and a 2:30 Sunday performance.
“9 to 5” The Musical is based on the 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970′s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic.
Pushed to the boiling point, there female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the exist, egotistical bigot they call their boss.
In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy, giving their boss the boot and take control of the company that had always kept them down.
Unlike the others, this show will take place at the Louise H. Underwood Center for the Arts at 511 Avenue K.
The show runs May 9-12 and 16-19.
It starts at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
On Sunday, the show starts at 2:30 p.m.
