LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Low lying clouds and areas of patchy fog and drizzle will begin to subside later this morning with south and southwesterly wind remaining fairly calm today compared to what we are expecting for the week ahead. Afternoon temperatures begin to rebound today reaching the mid to upper 50's.
Warming trend begins today but spring-like weather means a week with windy conditions elevating fire weather threats. Today will be a great day to get any outdoor chores completed and while you’re outside secure any items that you would like to avoid having blown away this week. Wind speeds on Monday will become sustained between 25-35mph on the Caprock and areas of blowing dust can be expected. Temperatures should be warmest on Valentine’s Day but the wind will give cause to go ahead and plan for an “up-do” hairstyle.
