LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Just before noon on Monday, Texas Tech Athletics sent out a news release on Khavon Moore.
In the official release – they say that the freshman forward will not play the remaining games of the regular season or the post season.
“The Texas Tech men’s basketball program has announced that freshman Khavon Moore will not play in any remaining games this season and will seek a medical hardship.”
This season, Khavon Moore has only played two minutes, and that came in the home loss to Iowa State.
This past weekend, he didn’t travel to Oklahoma with the team.
The reasoning behind him not traveling to Norman was not announced, but some people think that this tweet that Khavon tweeted out after the West Virginia game (That was later deleted) might have been a factor.
Here is the tweet below:
If Moore is granted the medical hardship, he will start next season as a red-shirt freshman with four years of eligibility remaining.
