Hospice of Lubbock to host 30th Annual Mayor’s Beans and Cornbread Lunch

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The 30th Anniversary of the Mayor’s Beans and Cornbread Lunch has been set for Friday, March 1.

The luncheon is being hosted by mayors from 19 counties that are served by Hospice of Lubbock. It is the biggest fundraiser of the year for Hospice of Lubbock.

Beans, cornbread, dessert, and drinks will be provided by River Smith’s, Dynamic Foods and Nothing Bundt Cakes. A Klemke’s sausage link can be added to the meal for an additional $2. Live music and entertainment will be provided by Caldwell Entertainment and the Cactus Theater.

Funds raised by this event will help unfunded and under-funded hospice patients and families. For the 30th Anniversary, Hospice of Lubbock is introducing a new initiative to create a music therapy program for their patients.
