LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - What a warm day Friday was. Temperatures in the 70s and 80s all across the South Plains. But the wind was a factor, and it will be even more of a factor for your Saturday.
Winds for your Saturday could gust up to 50-55mph in the afternoon, more than enough to pick up and move that West Texas dust. That in addition to our first frontal passage will keep temperatures down a few degrees from what they were on Friday, with more 60s and 70s being more common.
Cooler air will move in for Sunday, but it will only knock our temperatures down to be closer to what they should be for this time of year, with 50s and 60s across the South Plains.
Even with the slightly cooler weather, Sunday will feature plenty of sun and gentle winds. Then things take a turn. Cold air invades for the start of the next work week, and we could spend the majority of next week in the 30s and 40s. We might even get some snow on Tuesday.
Keep checking back for updates on that possibility.
