LUBBOCK (March 27, 2019) – Main Event Entertainment recently signed on as an official sponsor of Special Olympics, the world’s largest organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
In honor of this new partnership, the Main Event center in Lubbock is hosting a Sensory Sunday event with Special Olympics of West Texas.
On Sunday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to noon, Main Event will create a sensory friendly atmosphere with quieter music, less stimulating lights and no fog effects. During Sensory Sunday, individuals that are impacted by sensory disorders can comfortably enjoy all that Main Event has to offer.
“Main Event in Lubbock is very proud to be partnered with Special Olympics,” said RJ Guajardo, General Manager of the Lubbock Main Event center. “We are really happy that by holding these Sensory Sunday events we can add some FUN and joy into the lives of families that are impacted by sensory disorders. Our location is looking at holding a sensory event once per month. Other Main Event locations are also doing them. Our hopes are that we will someday be able to hold them monthly in every Main Event Entertainment center.”
Sensory Sunday includes complimentary activities as well as a breakfast buffet option for $12 per person. For breakfast, please pre-register with Main Event’s Sales Office by calling 806-792-3333.
