LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward for information that will lead to the identification and arrest of the two people who murdered 20-year-old Tyshaun Bates in his Central Lubbock apartment on April 10.
Police report two men entered Bates’ apartment in the Lubbock Square apartment complex, in the 4600 block of 50th Street, and got into a fight with him, before one of the men pulled out a gun and shot him.
When emergency officials officials arrived they took Bates to the hospital where he later died. LPD’s Metro Special Crimes Unit and the Texas Anti-Gang Center are investigating this case.
The reward money that has been posted was donated $5,000, which brings the total possible reward to $10,000. Any person with information is asked to call LPD’s Crime Line at 806-741-1000.
