LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Severe weather rolling into the Dallas/Fort Worth area is having a major impact on flights out of Lubbock’s Preston Smith International Airport Wednesday.
Flights from two of the airlines that serve Lubbock have been canceled for the evening. American Airlines has canceled two flights into DFW International Airport. Southwest Airlines has canceled two flights into Dallas’ secondary airport, Love Field.
Both airports are warning passengers to check with their airlines.
United Airlines, with flights to Houston, has not been impacted.
Southwest has also canceled a flight coming into Lubbock from Dallas.
Both American and Southwest currently show flights that have been rerouted to Lubbock from the two Dallas-area airports. American Airlines shows a flight that will depart for Bismark, North Dakota. Southwest shows a flight that will depart for Burbank, California.
