LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Christian University professor and LCHS assistant basketball coach, Brad Rogers, has officially made it to the pinnacle of football officiating.

Monday afternoon, footballzebras.com reported and KCBD Sports has confirmed that Brad Rogers has been promoted to the referee position, starting next season. He is replacing retiree and three-time Super Bowl official John Parry, who retired on April 1.

Rogers is entering his third season as an NFL official. During his first two seasons, Rogers worked on two different crews. He worked regular season games and playoff games - including a Divisional Playoff game between the Chargers and Patriots.

Before his time in the NFL as an official, he worked in the Southeastern Conference and Conference USA as a referee.

Before that, Rogers got his start officiating at the High School level here on the South Plains in 1991.

Congrats to Brad Rogers from the KCBD Sports staff on becoming an NFL white hat referee!
