LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lady Raider Brittany Brewer has been invited by USA Basketball to attend the Pan American Games team trials this month.
This is one day after Lady Raider Chrislyn Carr accepted an invitation to participate in the 2019 USA Women’s U19 World Cup team trials.
The junior forward Brewer averaged 16.6 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2/3 blocks a game. Brewer is one of 36 players who will try out for the Pan American team.
The trials take place this month in Colorado and are August 6-10 in Lima, Peru.
In a news release from Texas Tech, Lady Raider Coach Marlene Stollings was excited Brewer was given this opportunity.
“We are beyond thrilled that Brittany has been selected for the prestigious Pan Am trials. She has worked incredibly hard and her game has evolved to an elite level," Stollings said in the release. "Brittany is one of the brightest minds and humble human beings I have coached. This is such an honor for Brittany and our program.”
We wish Brittany Brewer the best at the Pan American Team Trials.
