LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Saturday, May 4, is Election Day and all around Texas residents have the opportunity to cast their ballots for mayoral races, city council spots, school board positions and special bond initiatives.
The biggest issue for Lubbock County voters is Proposition A, which would allow the county to issue up to $99.5 million in bonds for road improvements and construction.
Early voting numbers show out of 171,778 registered voters, 6,296 cast a ballot during the early voting period in Lubbock County.
1,992 Lubbock County voters have checked in at the polls as of 5:45 p.m. Saturday. Other important issues are area school board positions, and mayoral elections in Ransom Canyon, Abernathy, Slaton and Snyder.
