LEVELLAND, TX (KCBD) - Texas DPS officers arrested the co-owner of a Levelland business on Friday, after executing a search warrant for synthetic urine.

Consuelo Almager was charged with delivery of a drug falsification device and possession of marijuana, less than two ounces.

KLVT reports that officers executed the search warrant at JoJo’s Smokes and Cokes on west Houston street following the illegal sale of synthetic urine to an undercover DPS officer.

Synthetic urine is used to pass drug tests for marijuana and other products containing THC.

Officers recovered more synthetic urine along with several cartons of untaxed tobacco products that were available for sale.

The case was investigated by DPS with the assistance of the Levelland Police Department, Hockley County Attorney’s office and the 286th District Attorney’s office.

Additional charges are possible as the State Comptroller is currently investigating violations of the state sales tax code.
