LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -A few showers and thunderstorms are possible across the area through this evening.
There is a marginal risk for a couple of strong to severe storms near Seminole, Lamesa, Gail and Snyder.
Storm coverage is expected to remain most likely south of Lubbock across the Southern South Plains.
There is a risk for hail and strong wind gusts underneath the stronger storms that pop up.
Overnight, partly cloudy skies are in the forecast with a few thunderstorms possible mainly before midnight.
Lows end up in the lower to middle 50’s.
More sunshine is expected across the area through the middle of the week.
High temperatures climb into the lower and middle 80’s Tuesday afternoon with southerly winds averaging 10 to 15 mph.
High temperatures will soar into the 80’s and 90’s each day Wednesday and Thursday.
Thunderstorm chances return Friday and Saturday with a dryline developing across West Texas.
There is a risk for severe thunderstorms in our forecast area Friday night and Saturday.
