LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Virginia Tech grad transfer Chris Clarke has committed to come to Texas Tech and play for Chris Beard and the Red Raiders.
Clarke will be eligible to play for the Red Raiders next season.
He entered the transfer portal on April 5th after Buzz Williams left Virginia Tech for Texas A&M.
Clarke averaged 8 points and 6 rebounds a game with 98 assists and 31 seasons in the 2018 season. He was suspended from the Virginia Tech team in October of 2018 after being charged with one misdemeanor count of marijuana possession.
With the addition of Clarke, national media feel the Red Raiders can make another March Madness run.
