Two taken to UMC; one with serious injuries after overnight shooting

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Two men were wounded, one of them seriously injured early Tuesday morning after a shooting in the 3500 block of East Baylor Street.

Police reported to the area for a report of a shooting that occurred sometime around 2:30 a.m.

Officers were told by those at the scene that three males were sitting in a car when a male suspect approached the car and opened fire.

Two of the men in the car were injured and the suspect fled the scene.

The driver of the vehicle took the injured men to University Medical Center. The injured victims are reported to have suffered moderate to serious injuries.

No arrests have been made in this case, it remains under investigation by Lubbock police.
