Fire breaks out in abandoned house near 24th & Ave. Q

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Crews from Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a fire in an abandoned house in the 1600 block of 23rd Street Wednesday afternoon.

That home is near the intersection of 23rd Street and Avenue Q.

The fire started just before 3:00 p.m. Smoke from the fire could be seen throughout much of Lubbock.

Officials are still trying to determine how the fire started, telling KCBD the fire marshal’s office was investigating.
