Semi fire causes traffic delays on Hwy. 87 near Tahoka

TAHOKA, Texas (KCBD) - The southbound lanes of Highway 87, just north of Tahoka, were shut down due to a semi truck fire. As of 12:49 p.m., one lane has reopened.

The semi, which appears to be a car hauler, caught fire around Noon.

There is no word on injuries or what may have caused the fire.

Traffic is at a standstill for anyone traveling towards Tahoka from Lubbock.

Motorists are urged to find an alternate route until the scene can be cleared.
