TRAFFIC: Water line bursts near 19th and University, drivers urged to find new route

Eastbound lanes of 19th Street are shut down at University Avenue. Westbound lanes are down to one lane because of a pipe burst.

Crews are still on the scene trying to fix the issue that come up Monday afternoon.

Around 4:00 Monday afternoon, November 4, 2019, a water pipeline burst near the intersection of 19th Street and University. The City of Lubbock Public Works Department urges drivers to find another route due to water in the street, and crews on site to repair the pipeline.
