LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - With back to back losses in Las Vegas to Iowa and Creighton, the Red Raiders (5-2) dropped off the Associated Press Top 25 after the team was ranked No. 12 last week.
Still receiving votes, the Red Raiders now No. 31. Chris Beard’s bunch continues a tough stretch of the schedule as they travel to Chicago to face No. 34 DePaul (8-0) Wednesday Dec. 4. Texas Tech then travels to New York City to play new No. 1 Louisville (7-0) Tuesday, Dec. 10.
The Cardinals moved up to the top spot after Duke was upset by Stephen F. Austin. Louisville plays No. 4 Michigan (7-0) this week.
Other teams in the Top 25 the Red Raiders will see this season are Kansas at No. 2, Kentucky No. 8, Baylor No. 18, Oklahoma State No. 30, West Virginia No. 32 and Oklahoma No. 39. The Red Raiders next home game is Monday Dec. 16 against Southern Mississippi.
