Former Brownfield Mayor Brad Moore killed in crash Saturday afternoon

BROWNFIELD, Texas (KCBD) - Former Brownfield Mayor Brad Moore was killed in a collision on US 62/82 between Lubbock and Brownfield on Saturday afternoon.
DPS tells us he was in a vintage truck that was being towed when a minivan crashed into the back of it. Moore died from his injuries at Brownfield Regional Medical Center.
DPS says they were traveling southwest on US 62/82, two miles from Brownfield, when the driver of a 2007 Chrysler passenger van failed to control speed and crashed into the back of the 1970 Chevrolet that was being towed.
68-year-old Bradford Moore was in the Chevrolet when it was struck from behind.
Carmie Chaffin Moore was towing the pickup with a 2020 Toyota Tundra.
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. Moore and the driver of the minivan were both taken to the Brownfield Regional Medical Center.
Moore was a respected attorney and community leader, the former mayor of Brownfield, Texas and the former Chairman of the Republican Party of Terry County.
