Northbound lanes of University between 40th St. and 46th St. to remain closed until next week

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Lubbock Police issued an emergency notification for a water main break affecting traffic Friday morning.

Northbound University Avenue from 47th Street to 40th Street will remain closed until next week after significant pavement damage.

The City of Lubbock Street Department will begin repairs early next week and will require at least three days to complete.

Citizens are urged to avoid the area if possible.
