LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Over a week after entering his name into the transfer portal and the NBA Draft, Texas Tech Junior guard Mac McClung has decided to remove his name from the portal.

McClung took to his twitter account after reports surfaced about him removing himself from the transfer portal tweeting “Just didn’t feel right in my heart. Whatever decision I make in the near future with the NBA process , I will always want to be apart of Red Raider Nation.

With recent agreements between the NCAA and the NBA players are allowed to enter the draft, go through the process and receive feedback while still retaining their college eligibility and return to school. McClung is now the second player alongside Terrence Shannon Jr. to enter the NBA Draft while leaving the door open for a return to Texas Tech.

Last season McClung played and started in all 29 games for the Red Raiders averaging about 15.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.
