1 escapes from house fire in North Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Lubbock Fire Rescue is responded to a structer fire in the 2300 block of 2nd Place in North Lubbock.

The call came in around 12:13 p.m. early Saturday afternoon. A neighbor called in the fire from across the street.

A neighbor kicked in the front door to see if anyone was inside, but could not see because of the smoke.

A person made contact with the fire crew shortly after they arrived saying they had escaped from inside the home. The person was transported by EMS to the hospital.

No other injuries have been reported at this time.

Fire Marshals are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
