Glasco inks catcher Anya German to roster

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Anya German officially signed with Texas Tech softball on Friday, bringing the current roster number to 20.

German is the eighth freshman on the squad after being named District Offensive Player of the Year in 2023.

German attended James Bowie High School and was named to the Class 6A-26 First Team All District team in back-to-back years, according to a Tech Athletics news release.

“Anya brings us not only depth at the catching position short term, but also is a player with the elite arm talent, size and power to become a tremendous player,” Tech softball coach Gerry Glasco said in the release. “She could be a very powerful hitter during her college career as well.”
