Zachary Ramirez indicted, accused of assaulting child for more than 5 years

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - 28-year-old Zachary Ramirez is now facing formal charges, accused of sexually abusing a child for than five years.

The Lubbock County Grand Jury indicted Ramirez this week.

According to court documents, he began sexually abusing the child in June of 2015 and continued those assaults to May of 2021.

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office says Ramirez was arrested in Randall County in March of 2023, and has not been out of law enforcement custody since. That means Ramirez has been confined 905 days as of Thursday night.

Ramirez is currently housed in the Lynn County Jail on behalf of Lubbock County.
