Major road closures shut down El Paso-New Mexico border crossings

EL PASO, Texas (KCBD) - Multiple major highways connecting El Paso to New Mexico are closed as weather conditions continue to worsen.

U.S. 62/180 is closed between El Paso and New Mexico. No motorists will be permitted to travel from El Paso into New Mexico or from New Mexico into El Paso.

FM-1111 to the state line is closed. SH-54 to the state line is also closed.

Officials are urging motorists to use alternate routes and avoid travel as weather conditions continue to worsen.
