KJ Doyle

KJ is the Sports Director at NewsChannel 10. You will see him in the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts, as well as on the Sports Drive and The Wrap Up.

He is excited to be part of the sports community in the Texas Panhandle. He'd always hoped to come to Texas to cover sports, knowing how passionate everyone across the state is about their teams.

KJ joined KFDA in 2022 after spending time at WGME in Maine as a producer. He graduated from the Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting in Florida as the valedictorian of his class. He spent time learning from sports anchors from across the country like Rishi Barran, Debbi Taylor, Jeff Radcliffe and Gordie Hershiser.

He has also been taken under the wing of seasoned professionals like Dave Eid at WGME and Greg Kerr at KFDA.

KJ grew up in New Hampshire, following teams from Boston. He's a huge fan of basketball and football, with baseball following closely behind as his third favorite sport. He has also developed a love for volleyball and has done play-by-play commentary covering all those sports as well as soccer, softball and lacrosse.

He is continuing to learn more about Amarillo and the surrounding community each day. If you see him out and about, he loves to chat to learn more about the area. He encourages any viewers to reach out to him to talk sports!
