Addison Barthold is a Multimedia journalist with KCBD since July of 2021. She was born and raised right here in Lubbock, Texas, and has a passion for the people, issues, and stories of West Texas. Addison graduated from Texas Tech University in 2021 with a major in Journalism and minors in Legal Studies and Political Science. She has been a long-time viewer of KCBD, watching the channel since she was a young girl. Now, Addison hopes to contribute to the team by providing fresh, exciting, and truthful perspectives of West Texas lives.

Kardi is one of the winners of the Walkin' Pets 2022 calendar for handicapped animals. At just four years old, Kardi lost the ability to move her legs due to IVDD, a degenerative disease which affected her spine. However, this handicap has not slowed down Kardi, who served as a therapy dog in the West Texas community up until this past year.
