Zach grew up in a small town in North Texas called Trenton. After years of doing PA for Trenton's sporting events as well as their morning announcements, in his Junior year of high school, he found a nearby radio station in search of a sports broadcaster for the upcoming school year. He was then appointed as the play-by-play sportscaster for local football, baseball, and basketball games.

After high school, he went to the University of North Texas to get his Bachelor's Degree in Converged Broadcast Media, where he fell in love all over again with the realm of sports broadcasting. Zach was the lead sports anchor for UNT’s collegiate TV station (ntTV) where he won an Emmy... He also had the opportunity to be a color analyst and sometimes play by play for UNT’s women's basketball team as well as back to radio with Millenium Sports to cover 6A school's basketball and baseball playoff journeys. He also hosted North Texas’s Gameday show, Mean Green Gameday where they covered North Texas’s magical round of 32 March Madness run after shocking the world in beating Purdue.

Off camera, Zach has worked at Bally Sports Southwest where he ran the ticker for Mavs, Rangers and Stars games. From there he transferred to Dave Campbell's Texas Football where he worked alongside several people who know the ins and outs of all teams in the state of Texas.

Although Zach grew up and loved the DFW area, he is more than happy and eager to learn more about West Texas and dive right into the sports culture and community.
