Benny Judah handed maximum sentence for Lubbock ponzi scheme

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock businessman who pleaded guilty to a ponzi scheme involving local investors is sentenced to the maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.

Benny Judah pleaded guilty in November to money laundering and the sale of unregistered securities. Prosecutors say he bilked nearly three-hundred investors out of more than fifty million dollars.

Judah must also pay $59 million in restitution.
