LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Yoakum County Sheriff's deputy has been accused of sharing sensitive information with a suspect being indicted on a felony warrant.

The Lubbock County Assistant Criminal District Attorney's Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of Yoakum County Sheriff's deputy Cory Jace Carlson. Carlson has been accused of disclosing information "with intent to harm or defraud another."
The arrest warrant states that Carlson was seen "partying" with the suspect and drinking alcohol in uniform.
The warrant indicates Carlson warned the suspect that he was no longer considered to be a confidential informant and was about to be indicted on a felony warrant.
The arrest warrant says Carlson put Lubbock police narcotics officers in danger by sharing the information.

If convicted, mis-use of official information carries a penalty of between two and ten years in prison.
