HOCKLEY COUNTY, TX (KCBD) - During a meeting Tuesday morning, Hockley County commissioners selected Paul Scarborough to act as interim sheriff. Kevin Davis announced last week that he will be stepping down from the job on January 13th.
"The most important thing is to maintain our relations with other agencies," Scarborough said. "We work real hard at building those and I look forward to carrying that on in the future. We're all in this together, so to speak, and nobody can do it by themselves."
Scarborough is a former Chief Deputy for the Lubbock County Sheriff's Department. He will officially run for Hockley County Sheriff in the November 6th election.
