LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock police arrested Royce Wood, 35, for burglary of a habitation and evading arrest on Saturday.

Police say he forced entry into a residence in the 9800 block of Jordan, "ransacked" the residence and assaulted the disabled female resident.

Then he fled the area, traveling west. An officer spotted Wood at 101st & Miami where he fled on foot. He was later found on the roof of a residence in the 3800 block of 101st Street and was taken into custody in the back yard.

After his arrest, they say he kicked out one of the windows in a police patrol vehicle.
