LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Police raided three Lubbock homes Friday morning as a part of a 14-month-long investigation into a drug ring.

26 people have been arrested since October of 2012.

Sgt. Bryan Witt with the Texas Department of Public Safety said they have seized a significant amount of narcotics in that time.

"Prior to today's arrest there were seizures of methamphetamine, marijuana, and over three pounds of cocaine seized during the investigation up to today." Witt said.

Ten people were arrested during the three raids Friday morning.

Sergio Zapada and Sharon Sanders were taken into custody at 5703 2nd Street.

Police seized half a pound of marijuana and one handgun after raiding the home.

Court documents show that Zapada communicated with several suspects about the distribution of drugs.

Half an ounce of cocaine was seized at another Lubbock location while one ounce of marijuana and two handguns were seized at a third.

Police are still on the search for five individuals they believe are connected to the operation.

Several other law enforcement agencies assisted the LPD including the Lubbock District Attorney's office, Texas Highway Patrol, DPS Special Response Team, Lubbock County Sheriff's Office, Lubbock Police Department, Fire Marshall, Bureau of Drug, Alcohol, Firearms and Explosives, and the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration.
