Former Ropes ISD teacher charged with having inappropriate relationship

HOCKLEY COUNTY, TX (KCBD) - A former teacher in Ropes ISD has been charged with having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
The Hockley County District Attorney tells us that authorities took Megan Thompson into custody on Tuesday afternoon.
We first told you about this story back in January, when Thompson voluntarily resigned from her position.
We did not release her name at that time, because she had not been charged.
Thompson could face up to 20 years behind bars if she's convicted.
