Texas Tech unveils new campus food truck
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Texas Tech has become the first school to own a food truck on a Big Twelve campus.
Tech unveiled the Streat food truck on Monday.
The truck will be run by Tech's hospitality staff and is a branch of the Streat Eatery in the student union building.
Operators plan to be open at different locations during the week.
"Right now, our plan is Monday and Wednesday, we'll be off Memorial Circle. Tuesday, Thursday we'll be at the Health Sciences Center. And, on Friday, we'll use local social media and be at a different location every week," David Deason of Texas Tech Hospitality Services said.
Deason said that the truck will also take student meal plans.
The truck will also be open to the public.
