LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A man could go to trial after investigators say he intentionally started a fire inside a West Lubbock home two weeks ago.
34-year-old Donovan Osby was indicted for first degree felony arson on Tuesday.
Lubbock Fire Marshals believe he caused an explosion and subsequent fire back on Aug. 19 at a home on 27th Street near Slide.
Osby suffered significant burns from the fire and was at the scene when fire crews arrived, but he wasn't arrested until about a week later.
Officials say Osby also faces charges for giving a false statement to a peace officer.
We're told that he is a former roommate and friend of the homeowner.
