Falcon Cove shooting suspect surrenders to police

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The suspect in a deadly shooting that happened at Falcon Cove Townhomes on Friday night has turned himself in to police.

Police responded to the call at 66th & Temple a little before 9 p.m. Friday. They found 22-year-old Demodrick Williams laying in the parking lot, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.He was immediately transported to UMC where he underwent emergency surgery. Williams died at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say 19-year-old Shovantae Johnson immediately fled the scene on Friday night, but turned himself in to police on Sunday

Police say uniform patrol officers and homicide investigators were able to obtain sufficient information to positively identify Johnson as the suspect in this shooting and the Criminal District Attorney's Office issued a warrant for his arrest.
